A COLORFUL BURMA BANSHEE: (10th AIR FORCE)

A terrific colorization of a Curtiss P-40N Warhawk of the 80th Fighter Group’s 89th Fighter Squadron at Dinjian in India’s northeastern Assam Valley, shows to good effect, the white skull markings that were worn by the 80th Fighter Group’s three P-40 equipped fighter squadrons, and explains why the 80th Fighter Group was known as the “Burma Banshees.”
