PRESIDENT HU JINTAO TOAST FLYING TIGER FIGHTER ACE AND RECORD SETTING C.N.A.C “HUMP” PILOT JOHN “DICK” ROSSI (SAAHF)

Chinese President Hu Jintao toasts “Flying Tiger” fighter “Ace” and record setting CNAC “Hump Airlift” pilot, John “Dick” Rossi, during a formal dinner at China’s Great Hall of the People, as part of events marking China’s official observance of the 60th Anniversary of the conclusion of the Second World War. Dick and 47 other China / CBI veterans who are Founding Board Members of the SAAHF, were the guest of the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries, the Yunnan Provincial, the Zhijiang County, and the Nanjing and Shanghai Municipal Governments.

Earlier in the day, Dick had been seated, center stage in the Great Hall, directly behind President Hu, as the Chinese President gave his official address commemorating the the conclusion of the Second World War, and as such Dick represented all American veterans who served in China during the Second World War.
