Colonel Sterling Barrow seen as young Photo Reconnaissance Pilot in front of his 35th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron, Lockheed F-5 Lighting “photo ship” at Yunnanyi in western Yunnan Province. The F-5 was the unarmed photo reconnaissance version of the fast and high flying Lockheed P-38J Lightning fighter.
