DOOLITTLE AND CREW:

A great colorization of photo that was taken aboard the U.S.S. Hornet just prior to the legendary, April 18, 1942, carrier attack on the Japanese Home Islands, of General (then Lt. Colonel) Jimmy Doolittle and his crew. Pictured from left to right in front in one of the group’s B-25B Mitchell medium bombers are, Navigator Lt. Henry Potter, Lt. Colonel Jimmy Doolittle, SSgt. Fred Braemer, Co-pilot Richard Cole and SSgt. Paul Leonard.
