FLYING TIGERS RETURNS TO GUILIN. (AVG)

American Volunteer Group Flight Leader and Fighter “Ace” and record setting C.N.A.C. “Hump” Pilot “Dick” Rossi and Jeff Greene the Ex. Director of the SAAHF are seen next to a Second World World airfield “Stone Roller” on the former flight line of the A.V.G., C.A.T.F. and 14th Air Force airfield at Guilin (Kweilin) in Guangxi Province, China.

In October 1997, Dick and four other veterans of the American Volunteer Group, accompanied by their family members and friends, visited Beijing, Xian, Kunming, Guilin Nanjing and Shanghai, at the invitation of the Beijing Aviator’s Association, in association with the Yunnan, Guangxi, and Nanjing Aviator’s Associations.
